Make a Difference in Economic Education
I was recently nominated to the Board of Directors for the North Carolina Council on Economic Education (“NCCEE”). The NCCEE is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization that enhances economic and financial education for NC teachers and students by providing staff development and curriculum for teachers and sponsoring statewide competitions for students. As a board member, it is my responsibility to secure at least $1,000 in funding before September 15. For $250, you can sponsor a full day of training, including curriculum, for an NC teacher. For $150 you can sponsor the participation of 10 teams of students (up to 50 students) in the Stock Market Game (“SMG”) program which is a 10 week long stock market simulation where students work in teams to grow their portfolios while competing against their peers across the state. A contributor may also provide general operating support as well, in any amount you feel comfortable giving ($10, $25, $50, etc). I would appreciate your help in supporting these programs. If you choose to contribute, please let me know how much support you plan to provide so that I can keep a tally of the amount I have raised. In order to simplify the process for you, I have included a link to the NCCEE’s web page which allows you to make a tax deductible, secure, online contribution. If you prefer to have an invoice mailed to you just let me know and I’ll make sure you get one. http://www.nccee.org/HowToContribute.htm
Thanks for your help!
P.S. Feel free to pass this along to anyone you think may be interested.
